Hi there organizers. I am going to start creating a little section titled “Conquering Clutter Roundup”. I hope to have it done weekly, but we’ll see how it goes.
I would like to highlight neat tips, ideas, hacks and methods that other people in the blogosphere are doing to get and stay organized.
Here we go.
Did You Ear That?
First up is Unclutterer. They had a recent reader question about how to store earrings.
As a husband, I know these little pieces of jewelry can be a nightmare to keep straight.
Erin had a great idea of using a small tray with 40 different compartments. Alternatively, she suggested using freebies/recycled items like egg crates or ice cube trays.
Don’t Overflow Your Life
On Zen Habits, Leo wrote a wonderful article that distills what is wrong with modern life. He says our lives are too full.
The results of this are indebtedness, being too busy to enjoy life, and never spending time in the here and now with our loved ones.
Thankfully, he has some suggestions on how to change this. To a modern person these may seem drastic, but that is just because we haven’t seen a better way to live. I won’t repeat all of his thoughts, but the title is “Paring Down Your Life”.
Go read it.
